it arrives in the hands of one of the court guards, carefully wrapped in a cloth travelling cover, the ornate spearhead protected in a simple but well made leather sheath. upon unwrapping the whole thing, thor will be holding a spear, made out of sturdy red steel. the shaft is a good bit shorter than thor is tall, but with the spearhead (which is on its way to being its own sword proper) it is a respectable length for a spear, and still perfectly balanced.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide the Mjolnir that exists in my world with the means available to me. Hopefully this will suffice instead.
This is a version of Gugnir bestowed upon the sisterhood of Valkyries by the Odin of my world. Though it will withstand the duress of your level of combat, it not a permanent existence. If thrown properly, it will always strike true, at the cost of its physical form. Should something happen to it, bring it back to me and I will repair it, or give you a new one.
[ over the course of time, thor will realize the blade remains sharp no matter what, and the red metal never seems to need polishing. if he has someone who is GOOD AT MAGIC look at it, they will percieve it to be a real, genuine divine spear belonging to a valkyrie! or at least, just a 100% real spear that's far more durable than most made by mortal craftsmen, with at least one warding spell embedded into the surface. it withstands every kind of reasonable human level abuse that can be heaped onto it, and will conduct thor's thunder with minimal resistance, the edges picking up a momentary golden glow wherever the sparks touch. :) ]
